Lorene Willis attends Women's Elder Circle gathering

On June 19–20, 2026, Lorene Willis joined fellow elders in camping beneath the ancient giant redwood trees on the Tule River Reservation near Porterville, California. Surrounded by trees that have stood as silent witnesses for countless generations, the gathering became a sacred place of reflection, prayer, and cultural renewal.

"It was a magical place, alive with the presence of our ancestors. As elders, we were deeply honored and humbled to gather among these ancient giants," said Lorene Willis.

The gathering rekindled a shared sense of purpose, reminding participants of their responsibility to carry forward the teachings, traditions, and wisdom entrusted to them.
